PRESS RELEASE

Businesses come together to boost their marketing success

Local businesses are turning to a recently-formed marketing group as a tool to survive and thrive through difficult economic conditions.

The Master Your Marketing group is the latest resource for small businesses from Natalie Brannigan at the Little Marketing Company, which celebrates its second anniversary this month.

Master Your Marketing members have access to a host of marketing resources covering everything from marketing strategy and planning to techniques for better social media and email marketing. There is also a private Facebook group where members can raise questions, share experiences, work on a ‘marketing focus of the month’ and take part in a regular Q&A session and with Natalie.

Although Natalie started developing the initiative well before the COVID outbreak, she says it is proving to fit perfectly with the challenges created by the pandemic: “The lesson of previous economic downturns has been that stepping up marketing activity is an important survival strategy.

“Maintaining or growing sales requires you to keep visible and relevant in the marketplace. That’s what can be achieved with a good marketing plan followed through with regular activity.

“Members of the Master Your Marketing group tell me that they value the blend of resources, community and supportive monitoring of their progress. It’s helping them to keep on track with their marketing.”

“The UK is officially in recession, and none of us knows what the next year or so will bring. But I’m convinced that this is a time for businesses to learn new marketing skills, gain confidence in their ability, support each other and share experiences. This is what Master Your Marketing delivers.”

September marks the second anniversary of the Little Marketing Company, which Natalie started after helping family and friends with small businesses to improve their marketing performance. It led to Natalie bringing years of experience in marketing roles into forming her own business.

Since then, she has helped over 100 companies without internal resources to create and implement marketing plans focused on customer acquisition and retention.

Natalie says: “The Little Marketing Company is all about helping small and medium businesses to step back, look at the bigger picture and create realistic yet ambitious plans and strategies for getting where they want to be. Whether it’s one-to-one sessions, quarterly reviews, workshops or training, I aim to enable clients to achieve great things even if they can’t invest in full-time marketing resources.”

It’s a service that has brought Natalie a number of business award successes. She won the new business award in the Peterborough Small Business Awards in 2018, was highly commended in the professional services category in 2019, and was a finalist in Cambridgeshire and Fenland awards the same year.
